When was the last time you simply sat in front of the washing machine watching it spin thinking its the funniest thing in the world?
When was the last time you fascinated over a wooden spoon bashing everything in your path to see what it sounds with, try feed it to the dog or comb your hair with it?
Everything to a baby is a learning experience and the chance to explore their senses and devolp new skills. Watching Bubba everyday amazes me. He has so many toys and yet he still loves his treasure basket with all it's, colours and textures. I often wonder what he is thinking as he plays and he gets so excited about a coaster or the fact that there is a baby trapped in the glass cabinet that he has to say hello to at least 50 times a day and give a kiss.
Now the vacum cleaner is his ultimate toy. When he first learnt to crawl he would drag his toys one by one to show the dyson what it does and when we switch it on he turns into The Hulk baby....arms up and grrrrrrrrrr!
He is just really starting to take notice of our dog Daisy, learning which are her toys and giving them to her and then screaming 'Ta' at her for not thanking him. It must be so fustrating to have all these friends to talk to and none of them talk back.
Just take the time for a second and look around your room and imagining seeing everything for the first time. A computer with all its lights and buttons, your mum and dad engrossed in a tiny laptop (that which we call a mobile) and we wonder why little people want it all the time, a feather escaped from a sofa cushion.
As adults we loose the connection with all these little things and forget that everything is new and shiny to a little person, as a parent you are granted the gift to experience this all over again. So take time to watch your little people and join in with them I asure you, you both will love it.
This is how the world looks to me too but I'm Peter pan and plan to be a child forever :)
